Inequality nearly equal for two decades

Inequality has been getting a lot of press lately, with the various Occupy demonstrations and protestors going on about the 99% versus the 1%. This chart has popped up in the last few day, and puts the complaints into perspective. It shows that in the US, changes in inequality over the past sixteen are hardly anything worth rioting over.

More importantly, it turns out that in the right circumstances, inequality is not only NOT a bad thing, it is downright desirable. Go here, and be enlightened by the great libertarian intellectual Richard Epstein [8:58].
